On August 8, Canandaigua Police have arrested Benjamin Jones, 23, of Canandaigua for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to his address for a noise complaint. Jones was issued an appearance ticket for city court at a later time.
On August 8, Canandaigua Police reported the arrest of Brittiany E. Smith, 17, of Canandaigua after police responded to a domestic disturbance on Center Street. Further investigation determined Smith allegedly had physical contact by shoving three people, two of which were children. Smith were charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and 3 counts of harassment. Smith was released on appearance tickets for city court at a later time.
On August 8, Canandaigua Police arrested Sharon L. Stevens, 57, of Canandaigua for harrassment steming from incident on July 28, where Stevens was accused of allegedly following another person around the street engaging in annoying behavior. Stevens was served a criminal summons for City Court on a later date.
On August 11, Canandaigua Police reported the arrest of Joshua J. Landon, 27, of Canandaigua. At 2:00a.m., police responded to the Sunoco-A-plus on Parrish Street for a report of a disorderly person threatening staff and causing a disturbance. The suspect, Landon, was gone on police arrival later to be identified and apprehended at his residence on South Main Street. Landon was charged with criminal mischief after damaging a plastic display of cigerette lighters and disorderly conduct. Landon allegedly became upset after the store clerk refused to sell him alcohol after hours. Landon was processed and released on an appearance appear at city court at a later time.
