The North Face will open its 48th store in Victor on Friday
The new 7,000 square foot store on High Street will attract residents who frequent the popular shopping district as well as tourists who come to the area to enjoy the outdoors.
To kick off opening weekend, Teton Gravity Research will present an exclusive free screeening of their feature length film, the Dream Factory. The outdoor viewing area will open at 6:30 p.m. and The North Face athlete, Ralph Backstrom will introduce the film at 7:00. Free beer tastings and food will be served during the event. Seating will be limited so those interested should arrive early.
On Saturday, community members can join The North Face ultra-runner, Mike Wolfe, for a 4.5 mile run on the Seneca Trail. Registration starts at the store at 8:30 a.m. The run will begin at 9:00 a.m. and takes off from the store. Runners will enjoy a scenic but challenging route that has steep climbs, log crossings and a forest of evergreens.
In addition, to celebrating the store opening, The North Face will have a free Mobile Rock Wall onsite provided by Rock Ventures for customers to try out one of The North Face’s favorite outdoor activities. The climbing wall will be open on Saturday from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. during grand opening weekend.
